BIST 100 earns nearly 69 points at opening session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Monday at 8,028.79 points, up 0.86% or 68.84 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed last week at 7,959.95 points,increasing 0.78%, with a daily trading volume of 79 billion liras ($2.74 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.9060 as of 10.05 a.m. local time (0705GMT), while the euro/lira rate stood at 31.6925 and a British pound traded for 36.4838 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $80.02 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,011.35.
