BOTAS reported that oil loading and unloading operations have resumed at Dortyol and Ceyhan terminals

Pipelines and Petrol Transport Inc. (BOTAS) announced that crude oil loading and unloading operations have resumed at Dortyol and Ceyhan terminals.

In the post shared on BOTAS’s Twitter account, it was stated that the necessary controls were made in Batman Dortyol Crude Oil Pipeline, where the oil flow was stopped for precautionary purposes after the two major earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaras on February 6th.

In the statement, it was reported that the system was reactivated 39 hours after the earthquake and that crude oil loading and unloading operations were resumed at Dortyol Terminal.

“On the other hand, FSRU operations, which were stopped at the terminal as a precaution, were started 6 hours after the earthquake. Likewise, in the Iraq-Turkiye Crude Oil Pipeline System, where the oil flow was stopped for precautionary purposes, all controls were completed within 42 hours after the earthquake, and the pumping operations and crude oil loading and unloading operations were resumed at the Ceyhan Terminal. In this context, the 3rd tanker loading operation continues without any problems after the earthquake.”
