The 7 millionth vehicle produced in the factory, which exports automobiles to all over the world, was the Clio E-Tech, which will meet its user in Germany.
Oyak Renault General Manager Dr. Antoine Aoun, whose views were given in the statement, said, “We are proud and happy to have produced 7 million vehicles and engines since 1971, when we started production. In our journey that started with the production of Renault 12 and extended to a total of 7 million vehicles and engines and 6 million chassis and gearboxes in 50 years, we have launched more than 20 models from our factory so far. Our production capacity, which was about 20 thousand in the years when we started automobile production, has reached an annual volume of 378 thousand automobiles and 920,000 engines today.”
Oyak Renault Automobile Factories manufactures and exports the new Clio, Clio E-Tech and the new Megane Sedan models, as well as the mechanical components used in these models, especially the engine and gearbox. The factory, which started mass production of engines for hybrid vehicles in 2020, is the first in the Renault Group and the only factory in Turkey among the centers producing engines for hybrid vehicles. Automobile and mechanical parts produced at Oyak Renault Automobile Factories in Bursa, which consists of Vehicle and Mechanical Factories, an International Logistics and an R&D Center, are exported to approximately 70 countries.
