Moody’s determined the 2024 credit rating calendar: Turkiye ranks first

International credit rating agency Moody’s has determined two credit rating review dates for Turkiye for next year.

Moody’s published the “Credit Rating Review Calendar of Countries” for 2024.

Accordingly, the first date for Turkiye was announced as January 12, and the second date was announced as July 19.

It was noteworthy that Turkiye will be included in Moody’s calendar as the first country to be evaluated next year.

The fact that international credit rating agencies give dates for countries’ credit scores and rating outlooks in their annual calendars does not mean that an update will be made on that exact date. Credit rating agencies can also make an evaluation outside the specified date.

Moody’s set December 15 as the review date for Turkiye’s credit rating in the 2023 calendar, but did not make an update for Turkiye on that date.

Turkiye’s credit rating can be converted to positive

On the other hand, the organization, which published the “Credit Opinion” report on the Turkish economy on December 19, stated that Turkiye’s credit rating outlook could be turned positive if the tight monetary stance was maintained.

Moody’s currently evaluates Turkiye’s credit rating as “B3” and its rating outlook as “stable”.
