Turkiye and Qatar will pioneer cloud technologies

With the memorandum of understanding signed by Microsoft and DTech Cloud in order to build a bridge between Turkiye and Qatar in the field of technology, the two countries will cooperate in cloud technologies.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, an important step was taken for the development of technology in Turkiye following the strategic cooperation talks held between the two countries during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Qatar.

The memorandum of understanding signing ceremony for Microsoft and DTech Cloud’s cooperation in the field of cloud-based technologies was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir and Qatar Minister of Information and Communication Technologies Muhammed El Mannai.

In his speech here, Kacir stated that a critical agreement was signed in the presence of Erdogan and Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to build a bridge between the two countries in the field of technology.

Stating that they witnessed a milestone strategic cooperation between the technology and cloud company DTech Cloud and Microsoft, Kacir said, “With this cooperation, we aim to contribute to the digital transformation of Turkiye and Qatar, and then the entire nearby geography. I hope that thanks to this cooperation, it will contribute to the further development and expansion of the digital bridge between Turkiye and Qatar in the field of new generation solutions such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, hyperscale services and analytics, and the technological leadership of the region will be assumed.”

“We see the results of being a cloud-friendly country”

Qatar Minister of Information and Communication Technologies, El Mannai, stated that he was pleased to see the strengthening of relations between Qatar and Turkiye in the digital field, and pointed out the importance of the private sector in developing ties between the two countries.

Stating that they have seen the results and fruits of being a cloud-friendly country, El Mannai said, “We are happy to share the infrastructure built in Qatar with an ally, friend and reliable partner. We hope that the strategic cooperation, the foundations of which have been laid between the two companies today, will be just the beginning to further develop the relationship in the digital field.”

“The infrastructure of the digital economy will be strengthened”

Microsoft Turkiye General Manager Levent Ozbilgin stated that they believe in the digital transformation of not only businesses but also countries and said, “As we celebrate Microsoft Turkiye’s 30th anniversary, it is extremely pleasing to contribute to the digital transformation of both Turkiye and neighboring countries through such strategic collaborations. We are proud to see companies operating in Turkiye and our technology exceeding boundaries and leading innovation. We will continue to work collaboratively with both the private sector and public institutions of both countries so that more organizations can use cloud technologies, especially artificial intelligence, as a catalyst for economic progress.”

Bereket Murat Oktay, Founder of DTech Cloud, also pointed out that they aim to produce solutions that will be pioneers in the digital economy and said, “Thanks to this cooperation, we aim to produce solutions that will pave the way for the digital economy by taking advantage of Microsoft cloud computing infrastructure. With cloud-based artificial intelligence and big data analytics, we will make it easier for customers in the healthcare, energy and manufacturing sectors to achieve their digital transformation goals.”

Following the speeches, Microsoft Turkiye General Manager Ozbilgin and DTech Cloud Founder Oktay signed the memorandum of understanding.
