Turkiye: Anti-dumping duty on flat steel imports

It has been decided to implement anti-dumping measures in the imports of some steel products originating from the European Union (EU) and South Korea.

The Communiqué on the Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports, prepared by the Ministry of Commerce, was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.

Accordingly, the dumping investigation initiated for the imports of “hot-rolled flat steel, alloyed or unalloyed, not subjected to any coating process (except plating)” originating from the EU and South Korea has been completed.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the products in question were imported from EU and South Korean companies at dumped prices and that this import caused damage in the domestic production branch.

In this context, it has been decided to apply certain measures against dumping at rates ranging from 7% to 12.8% of the CIF value for products originating from the EU and South Korea, as specified in the communiqué.
