Contracts have been signed with 3 countries for the cartridge production line, which MKE consists entirely of domestic machines, and the signing phase has been reached with 6 countries.
The Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) carried out an important modernization work at the Gazi Fisek Factory in 2020 in order to meet the needs of the security forces.
In this context, the company, which has established and commissioned a domestic and national cartridge line, produces 43 different types of cartridges in 13 different calibers at the factory.
Contracts signed with 3 countries, 6 countries are next
The production line, which allows the production of Russian and NATO ammunition, also attracts attention abroad. Many foreign delegations visited MKE’s Gazi Fisek Factory and examined the production line.
MKE Inc. offered to install a cartridge production line to friendly and allied countries. The company, which signed contracts with 3 countries in a short time, came to the stage of signing with 6 countries.
Cartridge production capacity tripled
The production, assembly and mass production of the workbenches on the production line, designed by the institution, was completed in a short period of 1.5 years.
Other NATO ammunition can be produced on the production line, especially Russian ammunition 7,62×54 (Bixi) and 7,62×39 (Kalashnikov).
With domestic facilities, the installation cost was reduced by half, and the cartridge production capacity was tripled.
The choice of domestic industry is also critical for the safe continuation of the plant’s operations. With the elimination of foreign dependency, the needs that will arise in the future at the facility will be met as soon as possible and effectively.
Industrial companies such as Yilmaz Makina, Yeter Makina, HIDROTIM, Vibromak, AAES, MCM Defense, TMMPRESS Press Maintenance Repair, SEHALSAN Machine and Industry, BAF Machine took part in the establishment of the production line.
