Turkey’s Petroleum Imports Increased by 4.7% in November Last Year

According to the “Petroleum Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Turkey’s total petroleum and petroleum product imports increased by 4.7% in November last year compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4,155,565 tons.

Within the total petroleum imports, crude oil, which constitutes the largest item, increased by 12.6%, reaching 2,965,663 tons.

During this period, the import of diesel fuel types decreased by 14.8% to 782,934 tons.

The remaining part of the import consists of aviation and maritime fuels, gasoline, fuel-oil types, and other products.

Thus, the total import increased by 4.7% in November last year compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4,155,565 tons.

The highest import of crude oil and petroleum products, totaling 2,568,150 tons, was made from Russia, followed by Iraq with 481,667 tons and Kazakhstan with 421,314 tons.

On the other hand, gasoline sales increased by 35.5% to 344,032 tons, diesel sales increased by 8.45% to 2,219,935 tons compared to the same month of the previous year.

Total petroleum product sales increased by 11% to 2,718,556 tons.

Petroleum product exports increased by 65% While Turkey’s aviation fuels exports increased by 65% to 479,612 tons in November last year compared to the same month of the previous year, maritime fuels exports decreased by 55.7% to 37,734 tons.

Exports of gasoline types increased by 32.6% to 161,070 tons, and exports of diesel types increased by 61.5% to 347,482 tons.

The total export in the petroleum market, including other products, increased by 65% to 1,334,416 tons.

The production of diesel fuel types increased by 8.7% to 1,568,257 tons, gasoline types production increased by 27% to 493,325 tons, and aviation fuels production increased by 51% to 468,809 tons in November last year compared to the same month of the previous year. Maritime fuels production also decreased by 73% to 26,603 tons.

The total refinery petroleum product production, including other fuel types, increased by approximately 11.4%, reaching 3,385,454 tons.
