Minister Karaismailoglu: As of March 2022, Turkey’s exports increased to $23 billion

According to the incoming information, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu said, “As of March 2022, Turkey’s total exports increased by 20% compared to the same period of the previous year to $23 billion. This figure is the highest export figure in March of all time.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu had iftar with the staff of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety in Beylerbeyi. Minister Karaismailoglu, who made a statement after the fast-breaking program, had the staff take a souvenir photo.

“WE ARE WORKING TO ASSESS OUR POTENTIAL AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL”

Stating that Turkey is a maritime country, Minister Karaismailoglu said, “Turkey is a maritime country in the middle of three big continents and two important sea basins, covered by sea on three sides. We are working to maximize our potential. With the steps we have determined in the light of our country’s goals, we gradually increase our dominance in our seas, which is our Blue Homeland, while making our political, economic and commercial activities effective and efficient.”

“90% OF THE TRADE VOLUME IS TRANSPORTED BY SEA”

Stating the importance of the sea route in world trade, Minister Karaismailoglu said, “90% of the 12 billion tons of trade volume in the world is transported by sea. We foresee that the world trade volume will increase to 25 billion tons in 2030 and 95 billion tons in 2050. In order for Turkey to get the share it deserves in this trade, we evaluate maritime routes in an integrated and integrated way with other transportation modes, in the light of environmentalist and smart transportation systems.”

“NO SUCCESS IS A COINCIDENCE”

Minister Adil Karaismailoglu said, “As of March 2022, Turkey’s total exports increased by 20% compared to the same period of the previous year to $23 billion. This figure is the highest March export figure of all time. With these developments, our foreign trade volume increased by 26% compared to the previous year and reached $53.6 billion in March. No success is a coincidence.”

Speaking about the importance of the Kanal Istanbul Project, Minister Adil Karaismailoglu said, “The Kanal Istanbul Project is not only a prestige project for us, but also for our region, the world maritime trade system, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean basin. Kanal Istanbul is a vision project that emerged in line with the technological and economic developments in the world and in our country, changing economic trends and the increasing needs of our country in terms of transportation infrastructures.”
