The Turkish lira has weakened to a new record of 19.39 against the US dollar in the early morning trades, later improving back to 19.35 against the dollar. The Turkish currency is approaching new record lows of 19.50 against the dollar as Presidential and parliamentary elections are coming close, scheduled for May 14.
