Mersin has made a record increase in the African Market

Yilbor Boru Board Member Hasan Yildirim, who evaluated the data of TUIK, said, “Mersin’s exports to African countries increased by 90% in the first 6 months of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year.”

Mersin businessman and Yilbor Boru Board Member Hasan Yildirim evaluated the data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and said, “When we look at the data, we see that Mersin has made a record increase in the African market in the first six months compared to the first six months of the previous year. While we exported $188 million 291 thousand to Africa in the same period of 2020, this year we realized an export of $356 million 898 thousand with an increase of 90%. We exported $854 million 528 thousand to Europe with an increase of 46%. While we exported $914 million 406 thousand to the Asian market, to which we export the most, the rate of increase was 3% compared to the previous year. Looking at these figures, we can see that Mersin has grown the most in the African market compared to the previous year.”

‘WE GIVE GREAT IMPORTANCE TO THE AFRICAN MARKET’

Underlining that as Yilbor Boru, they have gained a serious place in the African market, Hasan Yildirim said, “As a company, we attach great importance to this market. We are in constant contact to improve our exports. Our R&D team is constantly working to increase our product quality and to be permanent in the foreign market. As a whole city, we should evaluate the African market well and, if necessary, make various contacts with African countries.”
