Bayraktar said that MALATH was established by EDGE Group for relations with Turkiye.

Bayraktar stated that the office facilities of this company can be used by SAHA Istanbul members with whom they will do business, and that business development and engineering processes can be carried out here. “MALATH’s only function will be to carry out relations and joint projects with the Turkish defense industry. This will also include direct trade, investment and joint development.”

In response to the question about the agreements made with Turkish companies, Bayraktar said, “Defense industry collaborations with the UAE are already continuing to a large extent. We, together with our members within SAHA, have signed letters of goodwill in which we aim to make this cooperation more effective by participating in the process with our medium and small-sized companies.”

Emphasizing that the defense industry exports between Turkiye and the UAE are progressing rapidly with the support of the leaders of both countries, Bayraktar said, “The UAE has a large investment in the defense industry. Every country now has an agenda such as self-sufficiency and establishing alternative supply chains. We are looking for how we can overcome future problems by combining our forces and how we can create synergy from here. We want to achieve this not only with large-scale companies but also with medium and small-scale companies.”

Faisal El Bannai also noted that they aim to take the relations in the defense industry between the two countries to higher levels with the cooperation they established with SAHA Istanbul.
