Islamic Development Bank and Turkiye Development and Investment Bank officials visited BEDAS

Bogazici Electricity Distribution Inc. (BEDAS) hosted the officials of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Development and Investment Bank of Turkiye (TKYB).

According to the statement made by the company, the Islamic Development Bank, through the Development and Investment Bank of Turkiye, provides financial support to BEDAS in its investments to increase the efficiency of its energy distribution lines.

IsDB President Dr Muhammad Al Jasser and TKYB Top Manager Ibrahim Halil Oztop, who are in Istanbul for the Ministerial Meeting of the Economic and Commercial Cooperation Standing Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, visited BEDAS General Manager Murat Yigit.

BEDAS General Manager Yigit, whose views are included in the statement, stated that importance is given to R&D projects and investments that will reduce the carbon footprint of the company.

Yigit stated that thanks to the SCADA system, faults can be intervened in a short time and the total number of substations included in SCADA increased to 1461 with 98 stations as of last month. Noting that they plan to have 1501 centers with SCADA at the end of the year, Yigit pointed out that significant improvements have been achieved in the duration and number of interruptions on the European Side with the investments made in technology.
