THY is in talks with Airbus for the largest aircraft purchase in its history

Turkish Airlines (THY) management met with Airbus officials in Istanbul for the largest aircraft order in its history.

According to the information received, THY, which currently holds the title of being the airline that flies to the most countries in the world, continues its efforts to add new ones to its fleet of 435 aircraft.

THY executives, who have accelerated their efforts with the aim of having the youngest and most modern fleet in Europe, met with Airbus officials in Istanbul. In addition to the 10 A350-900 aircraft that THY decided to purchase at the meeting; consultations were held with Airbus officials for the purchase of a total of 355 aircraft, including 75 A350-900 aircraft, 15 A350-1000 aircraft, 5 A350F cargo aircraft and 250 A321 NEO aircraft.

Negotiations were also held with engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce officials for the provision of engine maintenance services and spare engines for A350 aircraft.
