Istanbul is nominated for “Europe’s best tourism destinations”

The sustainable tourism network (EDEN) of the European Union (EU) Commission has nominated Istanbul as one of the best destinations in Europe.

Candidates include London in England, Rome and Amalfi Coasts in Italy, Athens and Crete in Greece, Vienna and Graz in Austria, Bavaria in Germany, Nijmegen in the Netherlands, Prague in the Czech Republic, France’s Amiens, Spain’s Marbella, Belgium’s Leuven, Switzerland’s Lucerna, Finland’s Lathi, Ireland’s Clonakilty, Slovenia’s Ljubljana and Romania’s Oradea as well as Istanbul.

Until February 10, votes can be cast at “https://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/european-best-destinations-2022“.

The winner will be announced in the evening of the same day.

EDEN has been selecting the best tourism destinations in Europe since 2009.

Last year, Cappadocia was nominated to the list, and the winner was Braga from Portugal.
