Istanbul Airport was among the “Top 10 International Airports in the World” in the “The 10 Best International Airports” survey.
According to the statement made by Istanbul Airport Operator IGA, the results of the “World’s Top 10 International Airports” survey, which is organized every year by the world-famous travel magazine Travel and Leisure, have been announced.
According to the results of the survey determined by the reader’s votes of the magazine, Istanbul Airport surpassed the world’s leading airports such as Hamad, Incheon, Dubai, Hong Kong, Zurich, Abu Dhabi, Haneda and Copenhagen, ranking second after Singapore Changi Airport.
Voting by magazine readers started on October 25, 2021 and ended on February 28, 2022. While Istanbul Airport, which is second in the list with 94.06 points, increased its vote rate, it further reduced the score difference with Singapore Changi Airport, which was in the first place.
One reader who voted in the poll said, “Istanbul Airport is like a destination in itself and you don’t feel like traveling anywhere.”
Readers of Travel and Leisure magazine determine the “Top 10 International Airports in the World” by evaluating them in terms of access, check-in, security, food and beverage areas, shopping and design.
