Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe

According to the flight report of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), Istanbul Airport continued to be the first among the busiest airports in Europe in September.

In the statement made on the social media account of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM), Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1286 flights per day during the period of 19-26 September 2022. Turkish Airlines ranked third among the airlines with the highest number of flights, with an average of 1376 daily flights.”

According to the EUROCONTROL report, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport was in the second place with an average of 1272 flights per day, after Istanbul Airport, while Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport was third with 1236 flights.
