The exports of Uludag Exporters’ Associations (UIB), which is the second largest foreign trade union in Turkiye on the basis of the general secretariat, in the first half of the year exceeded $18 billion.
According to the statement made by UIB, the exports of UIB, whose foreign sales were $3 billion 167 million 155 thousand in June 2023, increased by 14.28% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $18 billion 152 million 558 thousand.
The export sales of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OIB), one of the sub-unions, in June amounted to $2 billion 619 million 882 thousand. OIB’s exports in the January-June period were recorded as $15 billion 17 million 224 thousand with an increase of 16.27% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Uludag Textile Exporters’ Association (UTIB) achieved an export of $105 million 894 thousand in June. UTİB’s exports in the January-June period were recorded as $656 million 868 thousand.
The exports of Uludag Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters’ Association (UHKIB), which realized $90 million 627 thousand of exports last month, were $537 million 715 thousand in the first six months of the year.
The export sales of Uludag Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters’ Association (UMSMIB), which exported $24 million 627 thousand in June, were recorded as $116 million 245 thousand in the January-June period.
Uludag Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (UYMSIB) exported $19 million 450 thousand in June. In the first 6 months of the year, UYMSİB achieved foreign sales of $74 million 972 thousand with an increase of 23.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Evaluating the data, UIB Coordinator President Baran Celik used the following statements:
“Despite the loss of work days due to the Eid al-Adha, we increased our exports in June and exceeded $18 billion with a total increase of 14% for 6 months. Our unions and valuable members within the body of UİB are working hard for our country to reach the export target of $265 billion for 2023.”
