Investment of ₺593 million in Kocaeli received a “Completion Visa”

The Ministry of Industry and Technology granted a “completion visa” to investments worth ₺593 million 915 thousand in Kocaeli in the January-July period.

According to ministry data, 26 projects in the city were entitled to completion visas in 7 months of the year. With the projects with a fixed investment amount of ₺593 million 915 thousand, 1087 people got jobs.

Projects in the “completely new” category made up 9 of the incentive investments that were put into operation in the city.

While the completed projects mainly consist of investments in the manufacturing industry, significant investments have also been made in the energy, tourism and health sectors.

Incentivized investment projects benefited from the support provided by the state, such as employer’s share of insurance premium, tax reduction up to 80%, interest assistance, customs duty exemption, and VAT exemption.


The private hospital project, which was realized with an investment of ₺97 million 114 thousand in Gebze, took the first place among the projects in question in terms of the size of the investment.

The project was also the investment that provided the most employment. With the opening of the hospital, 450 people got jobs.

The project, which was implemented by the pharmaceutical company in Gebze with an investment of ₺89 million 862 thousand, ranked second. This investment in the business provided employment to 70 people.

Operating in the automotive supply sector, the company made the third largest investment in the city in this period with the completion visa it received. With the commissioning of an investment of ₺88 million 334 thousand for the manufacture of parts and accessories related to automobile engines, 16 people became employed.


The facility, which was built as a completely new investment in Gebze by the domestic company that produces pet food, was also among the projects that attracted attention. The company, which has an annual production capacity of 10 thousand tons of food, employed 45 people.

In addition, this project was the fastest completed investment among those granted completion visas in the January-July period. The company, whose investment incentive certificate was signed in September 2019, received the investment completion visa in July 2021.
