Investment in Turkey from Renault Group

RENAULT Group announced the establishment of Renault Group Automotive Inc. (RGO), which will operate in Turkey. RGO is being established within the scope of the group’s “Renaulution” plan to implement the “Yeni Atilim” project, which will strengthen its presence and investments in Turkey. The main goal of the “Renaulution” plan was announced as making Renault Group the flag carrier of the new mobility ecosystem by building its business models on technology, energy and mobility in the upcoming period.

€3 BILLION CONTRIBUTION

In the statement made by the Renault Group, it was underlined that with this new restructuring, the production at the Oyak-Renault Bursa factory and the sales and marketing operations of the Renault and Dacia brands, which continue under MAIS, will strengthen and continue its deep-rooted partnership with the Oyak Group. The following was stated: “Oyak-Renault Bursa Factory ranks 3rd among Turkey’s top exporting companies and contributes €3 billion to Turkey’s total exports. The sum of its investments in Turkey since 2000 is at the level of €2 billion. Renault Group aims to strengthen its presence and investments in Turkey as part of its medium-term ‘Renaulution’ plan.” Hakan Dogu, who is on the Renault Group Corporate Governance Committee, will be the CEO of RGO Inc. as well as Renault Group After Sales Senior Vice President.
