Kusadasi hosted 9 thousand 70 tourists who came by cruise

9 thousand 70 tourists came to Kusadasi, one of the important centers of cruise tourism, with 3 giant ships.

Three cruise ships, Bahama-flagged “Odyssey Of The Seas”, Bermuda-flagged “Enchanted Princess”, and Marshall-flagged “Sirena”, anchored in Kusadasi Aegean Port.

Tourists, most of whom are US citizens, disembarked from the ships and were greeted with folk dance performances at the port.

Some of the passengers visited the Ancient City of Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary in Selcuk district of Izmir as part of the tour program. Those who did not participate in the tour shopped in the city center.

Ege Port General Manager Aziz Gungor said that they hosted the Bahamian flagged “Odyssey Of The Seas”, the largest cruise ship to Turkiye, at the port.

191 cruise ships arrived in Turkiye in 6 months

Drawing attention to the importance of hosting 3 cruise ships at the same time, Gungor stated that 258,719 tourists came to the district with 191 ships in the first 6 months of the year.

Emphasizing that cruise tourism is valuable for the city’s economy, Gungor noted that they aim to host many more ships next year.
