Turkiye’s 4th telephone line became operational. Applications for the new line, which has started accepting subscribers, can be made via e-Devlet. Netgsm entered the market as a rival to Turkcell, Vodafone and Turk Telekom.
Netgsm Started Accepting Subscribers As of This Month
Let us note that the new service started accepting subscribers as of this month, starting with the number block ‘0510 22X XXXX’. Netgsm Chairman of the Board of Directors, Adem Ocal, stated that the company provides services with fixed telephone, virtual mobile telephone, internet service provider and communication infrastructure licenses received from the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (ITCA) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in 2009.
Ocal stated that for the first time in mobile phone services, they established GSM core network infrastructures within the scope of virtual mobile network services and received the 0510 22X XXXX number block from ITCA. He said that they started to serve as a test last year. He also shared that they have now risen to the 4th place after the privileged group companies with nearly 200 thousand VoIP/SMS/internet subscribers within the scope of fixed telephone services.
Ocal stated that they received approvals for their applications to ITCA as of the end of last year. “We made the necessary applications. Subscriber recruitment can be done via e-Devlet or artificial intelligence-verified mobile application on smartphones, without going to any dealer. We started recruiting subscribers as of this month.”
