Increase in gasoline and diesel prices

The price of gasoline for per litre has increased by 16 cents and per litre price of diesel increased by 23 cents. The prices will be valid after mid-night.

According to the information from the Energy Petrol and Gas Supply Stations Employer Union, the price of gasoline sold at an average of 6.75 liras in Ankara will be 6.91 liras. The litre of gasoline will increase from 6.70 liras to 6.86 liras in Istanbul, and from 6.77 to 6.93 liras in Izmir.

The price of diesel sold for an average of 5.96 liras in Ankara will be 6.19 liras. Litre of diesel will also increase from 5.91 liras to 6.14 liras in Istanbul and from 5.99 liras to 6.22 liras in Izmir.

Fuel prices are estimated by refineries on the basis of average price of processed products in the Mediterranean market, including Turkey and changes in the dollar exchange rate.

As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may vary slightly according to companies and cities due to competition and freedom.
