In the first half of the year, the Black Sea’s aquaculture exports approached $100 million

In the first half of the year, exports of $96.5 million were made to 22 countries from the Black Sea. The most exported countries were the Russian Federation, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

According to the compilation made by the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKIB), 13 thousand 213 tons of fishery products were exported to 22 countries from the region in the January-June period. A gain of $96 million 520 thousand 552 was obtained from the said foreign sale.

The Russian Federation, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom were the countries with the highest exports.

In the first half of the year, 26 million 152 fisheries products were sold to the Russian Federation, $21 million 276 thousand 967 to the Netherlands and $16 million 864 thousand 684 to the United Kingdom.

45% of exports come from Trabzon

In the same period of last year, different aquatic products were sent to Thailand, Libya, Italy, Switzerland, Qatar and Denmark.

45% of the Black Sea’s aquaculture exports were carried out from Trabzon. By exporting 3 thousand 902 tons of aquatic products to 14 countries, especially Vietnam, from the city, $28 million 287 thousand 316 were earned.
