“We exceeded the 2019 figures”

Stating that there are flights to almost all countries from Antalya, Seyitoglu said, “Flights are carried out from our international airport to 204 countries and 211 destinations. Antalya is actually the gateway of the world to Turkiye.”

Stating that a new record was broken at the airport in 2023, Seyitoglu said:

“Passenger arrivals and departures at Antalya Airport peaked in 2019. Hoteliers were also happy with this situation. We were wondering if we would surpass 2019 this year, and we surpassed 2019 with nearly one million passenger traffic. In the plans made for next year, we will exceed 1-2 million more. This will continue to increase every year. Therefore, as airport managers, we are ready to provide all kinds of services at our airport to ensure a safe, comfortable and good travel for our passengers.”

Emphasizing that the work to increase the capacity at the airport continues rapidly, Seyitoglu noted that the passenger capacity will increase from 35 million to 85 million with the investments planned to be completed next year.

Airport Border Civil Administration Chief Seyitoglu added that Antalya Airport’s security criterion level increased from 81% to 93% in the evaluation made by international and national inspectors, which is a significant success.
