HIZRAY is coming to Istanbul: Beylikduzu-Pendik 1 hour

The tender will be held this year for the new metro line planned to be built between Beylikduzu-Sabiha Gokcen Airport. With the line called HIZRAY, a distance of 72 kilometers can be covered in one hour.

Two new metro lines are being planned for Istanbul.

New line; It will stretch from one end of Istanbul to the other, from Beylikduzu to Pendik for 72 kilometers.

With the new metro line called HIZRAY, which is planned to be tender this year, the distance between two will be reduced to about 1 hour. The speed on the line will reach 70-80 kilometers per hour.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) held the “Great Move in Rail Systems” meeting.

Speaking at the meeting held at the Halic Congress Center, IMM President Ekrem Imamoglu said, “The main backbone of Istanbul’s public transport system must be rail systems”.

Imamoglu said, “With the 91.5-kilometer lines to be completed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Istanbul’s rail system network will reach 424.85 kilometers. With the new lines we have prepared for the projects between 2024 and 2029, our total network will increase to 622.15 kilometers,” he said.

Imamoglu said that there will be a tender for the Beylikduzu – Esenyurt – Sefakoy – Incirli Metro Line this year.

FUNICULAR LINES

In addition, the Rumeli Hisari-Asiyan funicular line will be opened this year. 2 new funicular lines will be built between ITU – Istinye, Altunizade – Beylerbeyi.
