Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1401 daily flights on May 15-21.

The European Aviation Report of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) on 15-21 May has been published.

According to the report, Istanbul Airport ranked first among Europe’s busiest airports with an average of 1401 flights per day during this period.

Istanbul Airport was followed by Amsterdam Schiphol with an average of 1330 daily flights, and London Heathrow airports with 1302 flights.

The social media accounts of Istanbul Airport Operator IGA said, “According to the 20th week data published by Eurocontrol, Istanbul Airport was at the top of Europe with an average of 1401 flights per day. Thank you to all our passengers who chose us.”
