Fresh fruit and vegetable exports of $155.2 million from Turkiye

Turkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports in July reached $155.2 million. Russia became the country with the highest export volume, with an increase of 52% and $83.1 million.

Ferhat Guruz, President of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, pointed out that Turkiye is among the important countries in the production of fresh fruits and vegetables in his written statement.

Gürüz stated that they evaluated 179 thousand 398 tons of products in export markets in July.

In this context, Turkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports in July reached $155.2 million.

Fresh fruit and vegetable sector achieved the strongest increases in export volume in July from sales of mushrooms, pears and apricots.

In the 7th month of the year, the sector exported the most peach, cherry-cherry and apricot. Foreign exchange income of $41 million was obtained with an increase of 53% in peach, $34 million in cherry-cherries with a decrease of 45%, and $26 million in apricots with an increase of 82%.

Most exports to Russia

Russia ranked first in the list of the countries with the highest exports, with an increase of 52% and $83.1 million.

This country was followed by Germany with $28.2 million and Iraq with $4.3 million.
