According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the automotive industry, which achieved exports of $35 billion 4 million 230 thousand last year, was followed by chemicals and products with $30 billion 572 million 12 thousand, and ready-made clothing and apparel with $19 billion 253 million 722 thousand.
In 2023, the highest export increase occurred in the olive and olive oil sector with 75.9%.
In the industrial group, which realized 81.5% of Turkiye’s total exports last year, exports of $180 billion 818 million 623 thousand were made, with a decrease of 2.6%.
During the period in question, in the agricultural group, which constitutes 15.9% of total exports, exports of $35 billion 164 million 253 thousand were achieved, with an increase of 2.8%, and in the mining group, which received a share of 2.6%, exports of $5 billion 748 million 304 thousand were achieved, with a decrease of 10.9%.
Most exports to Germany
The top 3 countries to which exporters exported the most in 2023 were Germany with $18 billion 461 million 661 thousand, the USA with $12 billion 196 million 536 thousand, and the United Kingdom with $11 billion 444 million 370 thousand.
During this period, the number of countries to which exports exceeded $1 billion increased to 50, while the unit export value was $1.57.
