TurkTraktor exported 1 out of 3 tractors it produced

TurkTraktor Commercial Business Leader Ahmet Canbeyli said, “25 thousand of the 38 thousand tractors we produced were sold in the domestic market. We exported 13 thousand tractors to more than 120 countries around the world.”

Canbeyli, in his statement to the AA correspondent at the TUYAP 16th Adana International Agriculture and Greenhouse-Garden Fair, stated that the recent changes in the tractor industry in Turkiye brought the new emission level Stage 5 to the agenda.

Canbeyli stated that, as TurkTraktor, they introduced the Stage 5 emission tractors of their 2 brands to the farmers at the fair, and said, “As TurkTraktor, we have met our farmers with nearly 40 new tractor models and around 25 equipment products in an area of approximately 2 thousand square meters.”

Canbeyli emphasized that Turkiye achieved significant growth in the tractor market this year and gave the following information:

“Especially in the first 6 months, the market grew by over 30%. We currently have end-September data. At the end of September, the market reached approximately 58 thousand units. This represents a growth of nearly 30% compared to last year. Our expectation is that the market in Turkiye will reach 75 thousand this year, breaking a new record. Previously, the tractor market in Turkiye reached 73 thousand in 2017. We hope that we will break a new record this year.”

“Our exports increased by 11% compared to last year”

Stating that they, as TurkTraktor, produced 38 thousand tractors as of the end of September, Canbeyli continued as follows:

“25 thousand of the 38 thousand tractors we produced were sold in the domestic market. We exported 13 thousand tractors to more than 120 countries. As of the end of September, our exports increased by 11% compared to last year. More than 80% of our exports are to the United States and European Union countries. Therefore, a significant part of our exports are to developed markets. We predict that this pace in exports will continue. Of course, markets abroad are also affected by the general slowdowns around the world. Currently, we plan to maintain our focus on exports. Currently, we export 1 out of every 3 tractors we produce.”

Canbeyli said that they have updated many tractors according to the new emissions and that they plan to switch their entire product range to the Stage 5 emission level by June next year.

Stating that approximately 70% of the emissions will switch to the new emission level by the end of this year, Canbeyli said:

“We shared our goals within the framework of the sustainability strategy. There are many targets in many different areas, from producing tractors with Stage 5 emission levels in tractor production to the proportion of our female employees and obtaining our energy from sustainable sources. As TurkTraktor, we have always assigned ourselves a role in preparing agriculture and farmers in Turkiye for the future. In this sense, we have adopted an important mission on the sustainability side. At this stage, we are following the goals we have announced, especially to meet them every year.”
