Energy cooperation between Turkey and Nigeria

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planning an official visit to Nigeria this month and said, “We aim to sign three agreements in the fields of hydrocarbon, mining and energy.”

Donmez attended the 5th Term Joint Economic Commission (KEK) Meeting held between Turkey and Nigeria. He said, “We discussed cooperation opportunities in the fields of industry and technology, agriculture, transportation, health, education, culture and tourism, youth and sports, especially energy and mining.” Minister Donmez pointed out that the trade volume between Turkey and Nigeria reached $2 billion by the end of 2020.
