European textile manufacturers preferred Turkey

Poland-based apparel company LPP said that they may shift some of their production to Turkey due to the increase in freight prices between Asia and Europe and delivery delays. The company’s CFO, Przemyslaw Lutkiewicz, stated that they are in contact with Turkish clothing manufacturers. Stating that there has already been a three-week delay in the new season collection products from Asia, the company said that the freight prices on the Asia-Europe route increased to $14-15 thousand and the cost pressure increased.
