CBRT reserves increased to $125.5 billion

The Central Bank reserve increased to $125.5 billion. Total reserves increased for 15 consecutive weeks, recording the longest increase in the data history, which started in 1987.

Weekly Money and Bank Statistics were published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT).

Accordingly, as of September 22, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves increased by $3 billion 752 million to $83 billion 811 million. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of $80 billion 59 million on September 15.

During the said period, gold reserves increased by $237 million, from $41 billion 455 million to $41 billion 692 million.

Thus, the Central Bank’s total reserves increased from $121 billion 515 million to $125 billion 503 million in the week of September 22, an increase of $3 billion 988 million compared to the previous week.

While the upward trend in reserves continued for the 15th week in a row, the reserves, which were at $98.5 billion as of the end of May, increased to $125.5 billion as of September 22.

Thus, the increase from the end of May to the said date reached approximately $27 billion.

Meanwhile, total reserves increased for 15 consecutive weeks, recording the longest increase in the data history, which started in 1987.
