Minister Şimşek has gone to the United States for the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings

According to information obtained by AA correspondent, the Spring Meetings organized annually by the IMF and the World Bank, where issues and opportunities in the global economy are discussed, have begun.

Held at a time of increasing concerns about inflation and geopolitical tensions, the meetings will continue until April 20th in the capital of the United States, Washington.

Minister Şimşek, who will represent Turkey at the meetings, has set off for the United States.

It is planned for Şimşek to participate in the Global Outlook Forum organized by the International Finance Institute tomorrow. Şimşek, whose speech is expected on Thursday at the event titled “Turkey: Moving Forward in a Changing Global Economy,” will also participate in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting as part of his program.

During the meetings, Minister Şimşek will also meet with representatives of credit rating agencies, finance ministers of countries, central bank officials, representatives of the private sector and civil society organizations, as well as academics, along with numerous foreign investors.
