Gold-based certificate period in Borsa Istanbul

Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati announced that the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing House will issue gold-based certificates via public offering on Borsa Istanbul as of today.

Nureddin Nebati, Minister of Treasury and Finance, made the announcement on his social media account Twitter.

Minister Nabati stated that the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing House will start offering a new savings tool to the citizens.

With the new system, the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing House will issue gold-based certificates through public offering in Borsa Istanbul as of today.

Savers investing in the Mint Certificate will also be able to receive their gold physically.

Minister Nebati said, “This way, our citizens’ savings options will expand, and the Treasury’s gold reserves will also fund our producers and exporters for new investments.”

Minister Nabati continued his words as follows:

“This new savings tool will also help protect the value of our national currency, the Turkish Lira. We hope that the gold-based certificates, which will be directly traded on the Borsa Istanbul Equity Market Commodity Market as of today, will be beneficial to all our citizens and our country’s economy.”
