Minister of Agriculture: We will increase agricultural exports to $36 billion

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirisci stated that an important instrument of being economically strong is being strong in agriculture and forestry. Minister Kirisci stated that the export of agricultural products is at the level of $30 billion and said, “We are the first in Europe in terms of agricultural product we have, and we are in the top ten in the world. Our population is increasing. We continue to produce and we need to be producing more.”

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirisci participated in the ‘My First Vote for AK Party, My First Vote for Erdogan’ program organized by AK Party Ankara Youth Branch in Kizilcahamam district.

Referring to the importance of youth for the future, Minister Kirisci said, “What does our President say? ‘I preserve my youth by being among the youth’. Youth is always energy, always synergy. It makes us very happy to be with you, the bright minds like you, who give us hope for the future for this country, for this country, for this land, for this flag, for this prayer.”

Regarding his participation in the ‘Agriculture, Forest and Youth Council Promotion Meeting’, Minister Kirisci said, “Today, we created the Agriculture and Forestry Youth Council. We are almost the first country in the world to implement it. There is no other example. We were with 30 of our brothers from all over the country. Our units made presentations to them. Our friends shared our ministries and activities, our view on agriculture and forests.”

‘THE SITUATION WE COME IN FORESTING IS AT 95%’

Reminding that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a public address in Antalya yesterday, Kirisci said, “There was a fire incident that lasted for 10 days on July 28, 2021, which seared the hearts of all of us. In this fire, our 8 lives, but our dear friends whose numbers we do not know, and of course our forests, which are our oxygen source, our lungs, were burned. More than 60 thousand hectares of our forest area was burned. We left 95% of those forest areas by planting seeds, planting some seedlings, and allowing some of them to be planted naturally. The point we have reached is around 95%. We delivered the houses where there were 28 houses that were burned in that fire, which are really worth seeing, in accordance with our architecture, and in a quality and quality that will make us forget the sufferings of our people there, and we are together.”
