23 Studios, one of the game localization companies operating in Turkey and operating in the field of game development and publishing, invested €300 thousand over a €1 million valuation to the local enterprise Enucuzoyun.com. Positioned as a game price comparison platform, Enucuzoyun.com will open with the goal of building a global player community with the investment it has received from 23 Studios working with many brands including SEGA, Ubisoft, EA, CD Projekt and Netflix.
The domestic game price comparison platform Enucuzoyun.com, founded by Oytun Sengul in October 2020, has reached 3 thousand unique users per day and 6 thousand active followers on social media, despite its newly established.
The platform aims to create a community by bringing together the players in Turkey with statistics such as the price alarm it offers, the opportunity to access different content of popular games, who played which games. Now, it will bring this ecosystem it has created to the global with the support of 23 Studios with the brand Bestgameprice.
The Turkish game industry, which had a size of $845 million with 37 million players in 2019, reached a size of $1.14 billion with 40 million players in 2020. At this point, it was inevitable that investments focused on foreign markets would gain momentum.
Semih Sancar, Founder of 23 Studios, who also carries out the localization works of PlayStation games, said, “With the strength we derive from our 12 years of experience in the global game industry, we took the first step of our plans to move the Turkish game industry and community forward with this investment we made. We believe that Enucuzoyun’s vision will make a great contribution to the Turkish player community. With the new breakthroughs we will make in the future, we aim to bring the community together and to make the game industry of our country have more say in the world.”
