The Turkish construction materials sector rose two steps in the world ranking with its 2020 exports and ranked ninth. Serdar Urfalilar, Member of the Board of Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association (IDDMIB) and Chairman of the Turkish Construction Materials Sector Committee, said, “We have been working tirelessly for a long time to see the Turkish Construction Materials Industry among the top 10 countries in the world.” The sector, which closed the year 2020 with $21.8 billion, surpassed strong countries such as the Netherlands, England and Mexico. Turkish Construction Materials sector is also in the sixth place in Europe in the world export ranking.
