CW Enerji and Solarkol cooperated in the field of domestic solar energy equipment production

Solar panel manufacturer CW Enerji and inverter manufacturer Solarkol have agreed to cooperate in the field of domestic solar energy equipment production.

CW Enerji Chairman of the Board Tarik Sarvan, Solarkol Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Unal Boztunali and Solarkol General Manager Kemal Ertugran made statements regarding the agreement at the press conference.

Within the framework of the cooperation, the companies aim to reach 50% of the market in Turkey by producing solar panels with solar inverter systems, whose R&D and design are completely developed in-house.

Within the framework of the cooperation, which is planned to have an inverter locality of 77% and a panel locality of 56%, it is aimed to export to 57 countries, especially Germany, including African countries.

In the Turkish market, with the dealerships to be established in 81 provinces, panel and inverter support will be provided for individual roof applications.

Tarik Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of CW Energy, said in his speech that it has now become a necessity to turn to domestic and renewable energy sources in the fight against global climate change.

Sarvan emphasized that solar panels can be installed anywhere including houses, factories, commercial enterprises, industrial and organized industrial zones, hotels, businesses or vacant land, and that all details related to offsetting have become regular. “Currently, the excess electricity produced in houses and villas can be sold to the grid through the distribution company. Thanks to the grid-independent panels called off-grid, electricity can be produced for self-consumption.”

Sarvan stated that the electricity need of a typical house can be met with approximately 10 kilowatts of installed solar power and continued his words as follows:

“For a single-digit house, 1 kilowatt installed power can be realized at a cost of $900 to 1100. Many banks in Turkey offer support packages for those who want to install solar panels on their roofs. When you think of it as investing in your own roof, this investment can pay for itself in 5 to 7 years. You pay for the investment like paying an electricity bill. The economic life of the panels is 25 years. We also give our panels a 25-year warranty.”

Sarvan noted that with the help of these investments and collaborations, it will contribute to the training of qualified personnel and engineers in the solar energy sector.

INVESTING IN SOLAR ENERGY LIKE PAYING THE ELECTRIC BILL

Solarkol General Manager Kemal Ertuğran also stated that the production capacity can be increased for the demand from the Turkish solar energy market, and noted that they aim to produce 250 units per month in the first place.

Expressing that the Turkish market was targeted first, Ertugran stated that the production will be carried out in Ankara and that they will work with CW Enerji in the assembly, distribution and project stages.

Unal Boztunali, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Solarkol, said that in addition to the solar inverters developed by Turkish engineers and produced with 100% domestic capital in a wide power range, the mico inverter produced on a global scale, and he explained that R&D design and production of optimizer units, communication devices, energy quality measurement tools and embedded software technologies in products in accordance with international fire regulations were carried out.

Boztunali noted that they want to gain a significant market share in the sector with the first domestic solar inverter and other products that will reduce Turkey’s dependence on foreign energy.
