Turkish logistics company Sarp Intermodal has acquired Lithuania-based Logiva

Lithuania-based logistics company Logiva joined the group companies of Sarp Intermodal, one of the leading brands of intermodal transportation. After the cooperation, Logiva aims for leadership in the Baltic market and at least double the growth in the Scandinavian and Polish markets in the medium term.

Lithuania-based international transportation company Logiva and Turkiye’s leading logistics company Sarp Intermodal have joined forces to grow in the Baltic market. Logiva joined Sarp Intermodal’s group companies.

Logiva, which specializes in land transportation, storage and customs clearance services between Turkiye and Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland, will strengthen its power by utilizing the nearly 5,000 vehicles and equipment pool in Sarp Intermodal’s fleet.

Standing out in the market with its expert employees who speak Lithuanian, English, Russian and Polish, Logiva has approximately 15% of the road transport market between Turkiye and Lithuania. After the cooperation, the company aims to double its market share in the Turkiye-Lithuania line in a short time and reach 30%.

Logiva, which will serve with its own vehicles on the Turkiye-Baltic line, also carries out regular weekly partial flights in addition to complete transportations. Providing a very fast transportation process with its minivan service, the company provides express transportation service between Turkiye and the countries of the region in 72 hours.

The company plans to start its intermodal activities in a short time, as well as road transport services.

Target is the leadership in the Baltic market

Logiva, which will restructure in other Baltic countries this year in addition to its offices in Vilnius and Istanbul, the capital of Lithuania, aims to become one of the biggest players in the Turkiye-Baltic line in the medium term. In the long term, the company has determined growth in the Scandinavian countries and Eastern European market as its strategic target.

In the meantime, according to TUIK data, Turkiye’s exports to the Baltic countries, consisting of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, reached a record level of $1 billion 241 million, and imports from these countries reached a record level of $1 billion 99 million. Thus, Turkiye’s total foreign trade volume with the Baltic countries reached the highest level in the history of the Republic with $2 billion 340 million.
