European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) announced the new commercial vehicle registration data of EU countries for November. Total sales in the European Union (EU) commercial vehicle market have decreased for the last 5 months.
According to ACEA data, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU decreased by 14.7% in November compared to the same period last year, to 142 thousand 480. The said sales amount was 167 thousand 1 units in November 2020.
Commercial vehicle sales among EU countries decreased by 22.1% in Germany, 12.2% in France, 15% in Italy and 30.4% in Spain compared to the same period of the previous year.
Among the 27 EU member states, France had the highest number of new commercial vehicles in November. During this period, 35 thousand 870 commercial vehicles were registered in France, 28 thousand 499 in Germany, 17 thousand 327 in Italy and 12 thousand 755 in Spain.
New commercial vehicle registrations in the EU increased by 11.5% in January-November 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1 million 723 thousand 817.
Total commercial vehicle sales in the EU also declined in July, August, September and October. With November, commercial vehicle sales have decreased for the last 5 months.
