In Turkey, 1 billion 528 million 58 thousand chicken eggs were produced in June, an annual increase of 2% and a monthly decrease of 3.9% were recorded.
122 million 212 thousand chickens were slaughtered in June. The number of slaughtered chickens increased by 13.3% compared to June 2021.
In this period, turkey meat production increased by 11.7% on an annual basis and rose to 5 thousand 16 tons.
In the January-June period, the number of slaughtered chickens increased by 12.8%, turkey and chicken meat production increased by 10% and chicken egg production increased by 0.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
