A contribution of $5 billion 199 million 557 thousand was provided to Turkiye’s four-month exports from Bursa.
According to the compilation made by the AA correspondent from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, approximately 180 countries, free zones and autonomous regions were exported from Bursa in the January-April period.
Foreign sales from the city increased by 0.5% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $5 billion 199 million 557 thousand from $5 billion 175 million 190 thousand.
Automotive exports of the city reached $2.2 billion
Four-month exports of the automotive industry in Bursa, where giant companies such as OYAK Renault, TOFAS, Bosch and Karsan operate, reached $2 billion 247 million 398 thousand. Automotive exports of the city, where foreign sales of $1 billion 937 million 215 thousand were realized in the same period of last year, increased by 16%.
In the January-April period, the foreign sales of the ready-made clothing and apparel industry, which ranks 2nd in the city’s exports, decreased by 12% from $644 million 905 thousand to $562 million 428 thousand.
Four-month exports of the machinery and accessories sector, which ranks 3rd in the list, increased by 9.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. Exports of machinery and accessories sector, which was $414 million 29 thousand in the January-April period of last year, increased to $453 million 339 thousand in the same period of this year.
Textile and raw materials sector contributed $435 million 460 thousand, steel sector $275 million 205 thousand, furniture, paper and forestry products $267 million 30 thousand, chemicals and products contributed $226 million 363 thousand, ferrous and non-ferrous metals sector contributed $215 million 303 thousand, and the air conditioning industry sector contributed $166 million 349 thousand to Bursa’s four-month exports.
88% increase in exports from Bursa to France
The most exports from Bursa were made to Germany, one of Turkiye’s most important markets. Exports from Bursa to this country in four months increased by 0.7% from $821 million 486 thousand to $827 million 46 thousand.
On the other hand, foreign sales to France, which is in the second place, increased by 88.9% from $320 million 190 thousand to $604 million 919 thousand.
Exports to Spain, where $399 million 20 thousand were exported in the four months of last year, were recorded as $417 million 220 thousand with an increase of 4.6% in the same period of this year.
Italy ranked 4th with $378 million 602 thousand and the USA was 5th with $261 million 584 thousand in the ranking of the country to which the city exports the most.
