Caravan Park Project unveiled by MUSIAD

The Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) New Tourism Resources Development Committee implemented the Karavan Park Project with the idea that alternative tourism models will be a solution to the loss of income in the sector due to the new type of coranavirus pandemic.

In the statement made by MUSIAD, it was noted that the main purpose of the study is to reveal healthy models that will meet the travel, rest and vacation needs of domestic and foreign tourists in pandemic conditions by paying attention to parameters such as hygiene, social distance and personal space.

According to the statement, caravan tourism is emerging not only as a tourism activity, but also as an alternative business model that stimulates many local subsidiaries and accelerates regional development.

The Caravan Park Project, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and local governments, will be promoted at the MUSIAD EXPO on November 18-21.

The fair will also bring together companies that specialize in caravan manufacturing, camping equipment, caravan design, construction of physical areas for caravan tourism. Thanks to the project, it is aimed that caravan manufacturing will create a new export area with its spare parts and design.

Muhammet Ali Ozeken, Head of MUSIAD New Tourism Resources Development Committee stated that he has not received the desired level of response in Turkey at the moment, although caravan tourism is very common in the world.

Ozeken noted the following:

‘’With the Caravan Park Project, which we have created to create alternative markets for the tourism sector, which is shrinking with the effect of Covid-19, we aim to spread healthy and nature-friendly caravan tourism with different routes in various cities. We think that the Caravan Park Project will contribute to the tourism of the country and will contribute to foreign currency earning activities with our stakeholders, members, branches.’’
