BIST 100 index gains over 3 points
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 2,408.64 points on Friday, rising 0.14%, or 3.27 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.14% to end Thursday at 2,405.36 points, with a daily trading volume of over 36.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.1 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was increased to 16.7206 as of 10.06 a.m. local time (0706GMT), a gain of 0.07%.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate slipped 0.23% to 17.4618,while a British pound traded for 20.2408 Turkish liras, down 0.41%.
The price of Brent crude oil was at $108.80 per barrel following a 0.23% decline.
