The last day for applications for aquaculture support is 23 December

Producers who want to benefit from aquaculture support will be able to apply until 23 December 2022.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s “Aquaculture Support Communiqué” entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette, effective from 1 January 2022.

The Communiqué covers the issues regarding the aquaculture support to be made to the growers registered in the Fisheries Information System (SUBIS) who have aquaculture certificate approved by the Ministry.

Accordingly, the species within the scope of product support for aquaculture support, trout, carp, mussel and new species (sturgeon, turbot, fangri, coral, synagrite, sea bass, pointed bream, minekop, amhen, sargoz, murmur, yellowmouth, yellowtail, trance, catfish, chabut, blackfish, eel, tilapia, crayfish, shrimp, leech, Black Sea trout, red-spotted trout).

Breeders who want to receive support will submit the requested documents by applying to the provincial/district directorate where the breeding facility is located, until the end of the day on December 23 at the latest.

The sales documents for December or the harvest determination minutes of the breeders who have applied by the deadline can be submitted by January 6, 2023 at the latest.

Support payment will be made directly to the organized producers who will benefit from the supports, provided that they are members of the central unions and submit the document proving their membership at the time of application.

Documents for which the support payment has been made will be kept by the relevant units for 5 years to be submitted when requested.

Since the support payments made within the scope of the decision are public resources, lien, execution, assignment and similar transactions will not be made before they are transferred to the account of the right holder.

The necessary resources for the supports will be met from the appropriation allocated for the year 2023 in order to support animal husbandry in the budget.

Public institutions and organizations will not be able to benefit from the supports within the scope of the communiqué.

Last day for breeding trout support is 30 December

On the other hand, the “Communiqué on Support for Breeding Trout in Trout Hatcheries within the Scope of Aquaculture” was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force as of January 1, 2022.

In this context, producers who want to benefit from the said support can apply to the provincial directorate where the business is located until 30 December.
