BIM bought tomato producer Bircan Seed

Retail market chain BIM bought Bircan Seed, which produces tomatoes with soilless farming method, for ₺51.3 million.

Birlesik Magazalar Inc. (BIM) purchased Bircan Seed Seedling Farm Logistics Industry ve Trade Inc. (Bircan Seed), which produces tomatoes with soilless farming method in geothermal greenhouses.

In the statement on BIM’s Public Disclosure Platform, it was stated that all shares of Bircan Seed, which produces tomatoes with soilless farming method in geothermal greenhouses in Afyon, were purchased for ₺51.3 million in order to improve supply sustainability in the fresh fruit and vegetable category.

It was stated in the statement that Bircan Seed has a closed greenhouse area of 100 thousand square meters on 700 decares of land, and that the closing procedures of the said shares were completed as of yesterday.
