Digital operator Turkcell advances the artificial intelligence technology developed on its products and services day by day

Murat Erkan, General Manager of Turkcell said:

‘’ We continue our studies on artificial intelligence technologies without slowing down. I think that countries that have an active role in the development of artificial intelligence solutions, which we will witness to be used much more widely soon, will also benefit economically. Therefore, I believe that artificial intelligence technologies developed by us both add value to our company and our country. We are advancing in digitalization by using various technologies within the framework of ‘Industry 4.0’ with our engineer staff, whose number is currently close to 1300.’’

Stating that they use the technologies they have developed in the field of image processing thanks to artificial intelligence within the company, Erkan said:

“Techfin is one of the areas where artificial intelligence is used most intensively today. Today, we actively use face recognition technology on the registration and payment side at our digital payment platform Paycell. Face recognition technology is used in the entrance to our headquarters building. Again, when our employees bought food in our dining hall during the pre-pandemic period, they could recognize the food purchased using image processing technology and make payments using facial recognition technology. In addition to all these, we also use artificial intelligence algorithms in customer service and recruitment processes.’’
