ASELSAN, which has become the symbol of independence in the field of defense and technology, will be the most striking company of the IDEF International Defense Industry Fair this year, as every year.
ASELSAN will welcome its visitors with its largest exhibition area at IDEF 2021, which was held in Istanbul between 17-20 August, bringing together the important domestic and international actors of the defense industry, procurement authorities and country delegations. ASELSAN will introduce more than 250 products and systems in the departments of Naval Systems, Air Defense Systems, Border-Coast Security Systems, Communication Systems, Electronic Warfare Systems, Electro-Optic Systems and Weapon Systems at its stand located at TUYAP Fair and Congress Center, where the fair will take place.

ASELSAN Chairman of the Board and General Manager Prof. Dr. Haluk Gorgun said that ASELSAN took its place as the leading company of IDEF’21, the 15th International Defense Industry Fair, as it does every year, with a wide range of solutions that are the product of Turkish engineering. Stating that the pandemic process is a period in which negativities are turned into opportunities for ASELSAN, efficient and effective work is continued uninterruptedly, Prof. Dr. Haluk Gorgun said, “In this process, we did not take a break from our activities for a single day. We have grown by working day and night, and by bringing the unique national products with the most advanced technology to our country and the world, with the mind and sweat of our country’s most competent human resources.”
USED IN 71 COUNTRIES
Meeting the defense and security systems needs of many domestic users, especially the Turkish Armed Forces, the General Directorate of Security, the Gendarmerie General Command, ASELSAN will exhibit its original systems and solutions in its giant stand of 7 thousand square meters at IDEF. The systems produced by ASELSAN are used by 71 countries abroad as well as the security forces in the country. Users coming from abroad to visit IDEF’21 will find the defense industry products they need at the ASELSAN booth. ASELSAN will host many high-level foreign delegations, including chiefs of staff, defense ministers and force commanders, at the IDEF’21 International Defense Industry Fair.

We waved the glorious flag of our country by being among the largest defense companies in the world. The turnover of our company increased by 24% in 2020 compared to the previous year and exceeded ₺16 Billion. ASELSAN’s net profit increased by 33% compared to the previous year and reached the level of ₺4.5 Billion. Consolidated net sales of our ASELSAN increased by 24% compared to the previous year and exceeded the level of ₺16 Billion. ASELSAN continued its export run uninterruptedly in 2020, when international mobility stopped completely due to the pandemic. Our company contributed to the export volume of our country by signing contracts worth $446 million in total with 6 new countries in 2020. With the contribution of new orders from abroad, foreign balance orders exceeded the threshold of $1 Billion and reached its historical peak.
