Approval from the Competition Board for the transfer of Zynga, the owner of the game company Peak Games

The Competition Board authorized the acquisition of sole control of Zynga Inc., owner of the gaming company Peak Games, by Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

According to the announcement made on the Competition Authority’s website, the Board approved the acquisition of indirect joint control of CampusLogic Holdings, Inc by Blackstone Inc and Vista Equity Partners Management, LLC.

Acquisition of sole control of US Ecology, Inc. by Republic Services, Inc. is permitted.

It was deemed appropriate that the sole control of Lyksor Chemicals Inc. to be taken over by Kalekim Chemical Products Industry and Trade Inc.

The acquisition of joint control of West Connex by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec through the Sydney Transport Partners consortium is authorized.

The Board also authorized the acquisition of sole control of Zynga Inc., owner of the gaming company Peak Games, by Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Zynga announced in June 2020 that it had acquired Turkish mobile game manufacturer Peak Games for $1.8 billion. Thus, Peak Games became Turkey’s first unicorn.
